Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronavirus (COVID-19) : In line with the latest restrictions that the government introduced on March 27th no Al-Anon groups are currently meeting, nor will they till the government directs otherwise. If you would like to listen to some members of Al-Anon talk about their strength, hope and experience in Al-Anon click here for some short podcasts and here for some longer ones. While we wait patiently for meetings to resume, listening to these recordings gives one a good sense of the kind of things we hear in Al-Anon meetings where anyone affected by someone else’s drinking is always welcome. Our helpline remains open 7 days a week 10 am to 10 pm and can be contacted on 01-8732699 . You can also email any queries or comments to info@alanon.ie

Following the example of other non-essential services, the Al-Anon Information Service office will remain shut till until further notice . Literature can still be purchased by email, payments can be made through our online Store here using PayPal and our literature team will continue to process orders where safe and feasible and permitted by the government. All email queries will be answered by volunteers working remotely. The closure of the office does not affect the operation of the helpline that continues to take calls 7 days week from 10 am to 10 pm. We will provide updates as the situation changes.

The Al-Anon Information Service relies on donations from the Groups and Areas it serves. In keeping with Al-Anon traditions the service receives no state or external funding. Due to the temporary lack of meetings at which donations are collected from members the Service risks quickly loosing its only source of funding. Should any member wish to donate directly to the Al-Anon Information Service please do so here. Should members wish to donate directly to Al-Anon UK & Eire they can do so here
