Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronavirus (COVID-19) : Most Al-Anon groups have still not resumed weekly meetings and will only gradually open when the community and educational buildings that host them can safely accommodate them. If you would like to listen to some members of Al-Anon talk about their strength, hope and experience in Al-Anon click here for some short podcasts and here for some longer ones. While we wait patiently for meetings to resume, listening to these recordings gives one a good sense of the kind of things we hear in Al-Anon meetings where anyone affected by someone else’s drinking is always welcome. Our helpline remains open 7 days a week 10 am to 10 pm and can be contacted on 01-8732699 . You can also email any queries or comments to

The Al-Anon Information Service office is currently closed to the public. Literature can still be purchased by emailing your order form and by making your payment through PayPal. The new restricted office opening hours do not apply to the helpline that continues to take calls 7 days week from 10 am to 10 pm. We hope to return to the full Monday to Friday service as soon as the availability of volunteers allows. If you would like to volunteer please email

The Al-Anon Information Service relies on donations from the Groups and Areas it serves. In keeping with Al-Anon traditions the service receives no state or external funding. Due to the temporary lack of meetings at which donations are collected from members the Service has lost its only source of funding. Should any member wish to donate directly to the Al-Anon Information Service please do so here. Should members wish to donate directly to Al-Anon UK & Eire they can do so here
